We’re happy to announce we’ve added two new features to Docstoc that make it even easier for you to store and showcase your content.

If you have an existing document uploaded to Docstoc and have since made changes or revisions to that document, now you can update the doc on our site with one click. Simply hit the “Upload new version” button and point to the updated document on your hard drive, and the new version will replace the old one instantly.

Our second new feature allows you to more fully take advantage of our “private” doc tools. Any time you upload a document, you can check the Private box and it will not be visible on your profile or included in any search results on Docstoc. Today, we’ve added a button that lets you generate a secret URL for your private docs that you can give to anyone you want to allow see the content. This link is completely hidden to the public. If you have a large doc or presentation you need to distribute to certain individuals, instead of emailing them a big file you can simply link them to your doc’s private URL and they can instantly view the doc’s contents and/or download it themselves. You can upload any file (pdf, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) up to 10mb.

This feature is great for private financial data, inter-company reports, business plan presentations, etc. Try it!
